First Aid at Work (Initial)*
Course covering all the legislative requirements should your risk assessment deem the full 3-day course necessary.
The course covers, role of the first aider, health & Safety (first aid) regulations, bleeding, resuscitation (CPR), basic AED (defib) training, bone, muscle and joint injuries, seizures, burns and scalds, shock, poisoning, low blood sugar, fainting, eye injuries, asthma, severe allergic reaction, choking, treatment of an unresponsive casualty (breathing & non breathing), chest pains, stroke, communication and casualty care and managing an emergency.
Course prerequisites
Physically fit and able to carry out the practical elements of this course.
Course Duration
This is a 3 day course.
Student number
Minimum of 6 persons, maximum 12.
Validation Period
Certification is valid for 3 years.
