Ladder Safety Level 2*

Course covering the legislation, guidance and best practice when using leaning ladders and roofing ladders.  As a working platform for short duration, light working and for access.

Legislation covered includes Safe Work at Height, Manual Handling, PPE and LOLER regs relating to ladder use.

Practical aspects covered are safe siting and securing of leaning and roofing ladders, pre use inspection, correct manual handling, safe stowage and transport, climbing maintaining 3 points of contact, PPE, stability and securing devices, safety systems, first aid input and dealing with negative events and a suspended worker.

This course is ideal for those who use leaning and roofing ladders for short duration working as part of their duties.

Course prerequisites

Causeway Rescue Harness Training and SWAH (in date).

Course Duration

This is a 1 day course.

Student number

Min of 6 persons, maximum 8.

Validation Period

Certification is valid for 3 years.
